How to generate Blackberry eScreen key and find MEP
eScreen key
First step is to access to the Help Me menu on your Blackberry pohne, to do so, on the main screen of the phone hold the following keys :
ALT, CAPS and
H (at the same time)
Note: For Pearl and other Sure-type phones press and hold the ALT key (Bottom left) and type E A C E, for Storm, hold the BACK arrow, and tap the screen in the following areas: TOP LEFT, TOP RIGHT, TOP LEFT, TOP RIGHT.
You should be presented with a
Help Me! screen
Find the following information on that screen and enter in the form below:
- App version (exactly as it appears with spaces and brackets)
- PIN
- Uptime
Note: Do not exit Help Me! screen as this will invalidate the key. If you did, perform the above steps again with new uptime.
MEP
- Enter that key while at the same Help Me! screen. Nothing will appear when typing. For numbers hold the ALT key when typing.
- Now you should be in the engineers menu. If you are not - try again ensuring the data you entered is EXACTLY as displayed.
- Navigate to OS Engineering Screens to get the MEP
